The artwork is a recollection of the artist’s favourite pastime as a child; catching fireflies. The
work is created by layering different types of paints which includes the process of mixing and
discovering the outcome first-hand. The artwork also glows in complete darkness to capture
the times the artist as a child would venture into the dark in search of these glowing treasures,
a beautiful glow that is a sight that is not easily forgotten.
